FROM THE REVISED STANDARD EDITIONDeuteromony 17:6 "They may be put to death only if two or three witnesses testify against them; they are not to be put to death if there is only one witness." Deuteronomv 19:15 "A single witness shall not prevail against a man for any crime nor for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed; only on the evidence of two witnesses, or of three witnesses shall a charge be sustained." Numbers 35:30 "Those accused of murder may be found guilty and put to death only on the evidence of two or three witnesses; the evidence of one witness is not sufficient to support an accusation of murder." FROM THE CONTEMPORARY ENGLISH VERSIONDeuteronomy 176 "You will need two or three witnesses - one witness is not enough to prove a person guilty." Numbers 35:30 "No one accused of murder can be put to death unless there are at least two witnesses to the crime." We are not trying to interpret texts from the Bible regarding witnesses in the courtroom. What happened here, was strictly hearsay testimony and totally uncorroborated allegations. However the last quote of numbers 35:30 specifically states "... at least to witnesses to the crime." There were no witnesses to the crime except the two individuals who were involved in it. There is not one single witness to put Debbie at the crime scene nor any proven facts to substantiate her personal involvement other than the fabrications of an overly zealous detective to make his pre-conceived crime scenario stick in a court of law. As a matter of fact, the crime perpetrated on Christopher Milke has never been solved by thorough investigation by the police. We seriously wonder if Detective ARMANDO SALDATE, Prosecutor NOEL LEVY and Judge CHERYL HENDRIX have ever read the bible ... not to mention the Arizona Republic Editors. |
