This page is meant to answer all the questions our web-visitors may have or that are continuously asked and that obviously appear at first when learning about Debbie's unbelievable story in an easy-to-read form.

How can I help the best ? Unfortunately there are not very many possibilities to help. All hopes to free Debbie from her 'hell hole' are in the hands of the juristic defense team in Phoenix, Arizona. But there are some possibilities :
  1. Of course publicity can help a lot ! Please talk to friends, people you know and relatives about the case. Everyone who understands what injustice is able to cause in this world may be of help to avoid it.
  2. Please write ! But please, write to the recommended people. On our addresses page we summarized some addresses and example letters that you can use or use as a template to modify for your own expression. Please also regard the notes that are included to each addressee.
  3. The expenses of the legal defense in such a high-profile case are extremely high and a single family can't afford to pay them alone. Your donation can help our juristic team to continue working on Debbie's case.
What happened at court that Debbie was found guilty and got convicted ? Of course this is a very interesting, and in fact, crucial question, that this entire website is looking to answer. Quite some happenings and proceedings coincided and led to involve the 25-year old woman in the case, and after that put her on death row. First of all the unhappy marriage, the temporary stay at JAMES STYERS' place and finally the prejudiced legal system, participating players have caused this tragic drama.
Who has shot Debbie's son Christopher? Up to this day this has never been found out with certainty. It is no question that
  1. Debra has not been involved in the case directly and she has not been at the place of the crime
  2. JAMES STYERS, the guy she lived with, took CHRISTOPHER out, allegedly to go to a shopping mall. Instead STYERS picked up ROGER SCOTT, a friend of JIM, to join them. The three then went to the desert area where CHRISTOPHER was later found shot to death.

One of the both men must have killed CHRIS. All indications point at ROGER SCOTT.

How then could Debbie be put on death row ? ROGER SCOTT confessed to his involvement in the murder of Christopher and later, at least 30 minutes later to be precise, incriminated Debbie. He alleged that he and JIM had been instigated by Debra. SCOTT also stated that he was promised by STYERS to cash 200$ on a life insurance policy. During an interview with DETECTIVE SALDATE Debbie allegedly confessed to an instigated plot, but there are no indices that lead to believe Saldate's contention was the truth. Just the opposite : Debbie has always steadfastly denied to have confessed at all or to be involved in the murder of her son in any kind of way. And there is no signed confession of her, no tape recording of the interview, no testimony of her. Of what could be found out about Saldate is that he had quite a career of manipulations and falsehoods.
Why then, at trial, didn't it become obvious that there were not enough points to be raised against Debbie ? On one hand Debbie was pre-convicted because of the public statement of the police detective. The media picked up on that without any doubts or questions. A public defender who was not given enough opportunities from the judge, hate-filled family relations and one-sided testimonies of witnesses lead to the conviction. At that time Debbie was also given anti-depressant medication, which affected her behavior and made her appear heartless and emotionless.
On the other hand, testimonies in favor of Debbie were not allowed by Judge Cheryl C. Hendrix.
What does Debbie's current situation look like ? In August 2000 Debra's defense attorney, Anders V. Rosenquist was given the opportunity from the federal judge, Robert C. Broomfield, to file a motion to "Request for the production of documents". The state attorney's office has rejected this request and now it's up to the Federal Judge Broomfield to decide on the further proceedings.
Another possibility is that the state attorney general, Ms. Janet Napolitano, admits error. This way Debbie would immediately be released. But as it is obvious that this case is not about justice, but a constant and relentless fight against Debra Milke only to cover what really happened.
Obviously the state attorney and the cops won't comply, which is what let's everybody suspect that a lot of documents are better locked away. If those requested documents became available, it would not only effect Debra's case, but also a lot of other cases where Detective Saldate lied, falsified and manipulated.
Are there many people who believe that Debbie is innocent, and why ? Yes, Debbie has more and more supporters who strongly believe in her innocence. Those who are not sure at least demand for a fair trial. First of all one has to understand that Debra was born in Berlin, Germany and her mother, Renate Janka, is a native German. The public attention caught up on the case immediately, when she made this case public in 1997. Since then, this website, radio and TV shows as well as the support of well-known politicians, actors and other prominent people here and abroad have caused great attention throughout the world. Additionally the findings of the recent research more and more exhibits the fraud imposed on Debra in order to accomplish a quick and additional death sentence.
